Being Bossy

A word that has been bugging me for too long is “bossy.” You see, calling a woman “bossy” just because she’s assertive and knows what she wants is unfair and pretty sexist. It’s like, if a man is assertive, he’s a “leader,” but if a woman is assertive, she’s “bossy”? 

Plus, using “bossy” to describe someone is just lazy. Why not use words like “determined,” “driven,” or “awesome”? You know, words that actually sound, well, awesome. We should start using words that show respect and appreciation for strong, confident women instead of settling for the laziness of “bossy.” I think that’s a great deal.
