Now You’re Cooking

Your kitchen can become a regular steam bath sometimes when you’re cooking up a storm. In the hot, humid summer, that can be miserable. However, it’s a heavenly feeling when it’s cold outside. It is incredible how much the oven can heat your kitchen and sometimes even the rooms just near it.

Take advantage of that heat for as long as possible! Don’t close that door after you remove your dinner from the oven. Instead, turn off the oven, but keep the door wide open, allowing the heat to escape from the oven into the rest of the kitchen. It won’t last all night, but just that little blast can be beneficial.
