Don’t Fear the Fire

Some of us only have the Netflix fireplace to watch and imagine we’re sitting in front of a real fireplace, and others are lucky enough to have an actual fireplace in their house. Having a crackling fire in your living room fireplace is one of the best parts of cold weather. Yet, many people don’t use their fireplaces very often because they don’t want to deal with the hassle of cleaning them afterward. It’s such a shame to let such a cozy tool go to waste.

Rather than avoiding this pleasure simply because you don’t want to clean up the mess, try this next hack to make your life easier. First, place a metal tray inside the fireplace to catch all the ashes. Then, once the fire has burned out and the metal has cooled, you can just remove the tray and dump out the dirt. It’s as simple as that!
