Not Just for Warding Off Vampires
One of the most considerable downsides of winter is that it’s cold and flu season. It’s never any fun catching a virus (although we’re still all excited about getting a day off from work), and most people do everything they can to avoid it. However, sometimes all the hand washing in the world isn’t enough to battle a nasty bug.

Garlic isn’t only a delicious condiment, but it’s also a great way to boost your immune system. Aside from fighting ugly viruses and bacteria, it lowers cholesterol and protects your heart (to an extent). So, don’t be afraid to go heavy on the garlic! Just don’t forget the breath mints for after dinner.
