You’re Not My Dad

This kind of news could send a person’s world spinning. I can’t even imagine what it would be like to find out at 47 that the man you always thought was your father actually isn’t. And the fact that your mom conveniently “forgot” to mention it makes the whole thing even more mind-boggling.

It’s a good thing that DNA tests exist nowadays because it’s pretty clear that some parents are just not that great at disclosing certain things. But hey, who am I to judge? Maybe Mom thought that not mentioning the other man was the best thing for everyone involved. Or maybe she just hoped that nobody would find out. Regardless, it’s clear that secrets have a funny way of coming out eventually.
