Dress the Rainbow

Queen Elizabeth II’s style was anything but subtle. She is remembered for dressing in bright, neon-colored skirt suits and outstanding matching hats. While some people might interpret this loud use of color as a reflection of her personality, the Queen of England actually had a pretty sensible reason for dressing so brightly. 

It’s said that Queen Elizabeth wore a rainbow of different colors so that people could easily spot her in a crowd, no matter how far away. It was a way of ensuring that more people would be able to say, “I saw the Queen!” when she was at a large public function, outing, or procession. It’s a pretty genius way to get noticed, that’s for sure!
