Mr. T became a pop culture icon with his tough-guy persona, famously portraying B.A. Baracus in The A-Team and the fierce Clubber Lang in Rocky III. After dabbling in professional wrestling, he cemented his place in entertainment with his unmistakable presence and signature catchphrases.

Following Hurricane Katrina, he symbolically decided to stop wearing his trademark gold chains out of respect for those who had lost everything.
