Vernon Dursley
In the books, Vernon Dursley – Harry’s uncle – is portrayed as a character whose physical appearance reflects his personality and demeanor. He is described as a portly man with a thick neck, a walrus-like mustache, and a penchant for wearing dull, conservative clothing. His most defining feature is his stern and narrow, constantly pursed lips, which often signify his disapproval and displeasure, particularly when it comes to anything related to magic or the wizarding world.

Vernon’s appearance is a reflection of his close-mindedness, his obsession with appearing “normal,” and his disdain for anything out of the ordinary. This physical description, combined with his personality traits, makes Vernon Dursley a memorable and fitting antagonist in the series. We’d say the casting director did a pretty good job in the movie adaptation, don’t you think?
