It’s a fact – each zoo creature is used to eating specific things in its natural habitat. So, we need  to take such specific dietary needs into account to keep them healthy. Think about it being like how humans have different cultural food preferences and dietary restrictions. But it’s not a preference for spicy food or a gluten allergy…

Instead, it’s a preference for horse meat or a need for baby mice! If these stories have proven anything, it’s that being a zookeeper is not for the squeamish or faint of heart. Still, it’s amazing to see how much work goes into ensuring that these animals are happy and healthy in captivity.
