Scatter, the Chimpanzee
Graceland’s sprawling estate encompasses nearly 14 acres of lush terrain adorned with expansive lawns and majestic, time-honored trees. It’s a picturesque canvas tailor-made for nurturing a diverse array of animals. Elvis Presley, never one to do things by halves, maintained a veritable menagerie within these sprawling grounds. His faithful pack of dogs found their home here, alongside the presence of working stables.

True to his penchant for the extraordinary, Elvis introduced an even more exotic addition to the fold: Scatter the chimpanzee. Scatter was not just an ordinary pet; he became an integral part of the Presley family, receiving the kind of care and attention usually reserved for human members. In fact, Scatter enjoyed his own climate-controlled room right within the mansion, a testament to the King’s unparalleled devotion to those he held dear.
