#40: Glitter in Our Veins

The South never fails to surprise and delight. Case in point: a tweet about an old man talking about microplastics by the river, who then drops a truth bomb about glitter in our veins. I mean, come on! Who needs science when you’ve got poetic old-timers spouting gems like that?

And the fact that he just saunters away after leaving us all shook with his glitter revelation? That’s some next-level mysterious Southern charm right there. It’s no wonder the South has given us so many great writers and characters because clearly, there’s something in the water (or glitter in the veins?) that inspires creative genius.
