Kids say the darnedest things, don’t they? For this 3-year-old, the concept of having a pet was just too abstract to grasp. She wished for a pet, not realizing that their furry friend, the dog, was, in fact, a pet. It’s like a lightbulb moment when she finally realizes that the dog isn’t part of the family but an actual pet that they care for and love.

It’s like watching the gears turn in her little brain as she connects the dots and comes to this profound realization.
