#7: First Ever Television Appearance
Beatty’s first major acting break came on television when he landed a recurring role on The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis in 1959. He played Milton Armitage, the main character’s wealthy and snobbish rival.

The show was a lighthearted teen comedy, and though it wasn’t highbrow entertainment, it gave Beatty valuable screen experience. His natural charisma stood out, and Hollywood quickly took notice. Though he left the show after only a few episodes, it was a crucial stepping stone.
