#21: A Wedgewood Stove

Vintage Wedgewood stoves sell for thousands of dollars nowadays. But why? Well, this particular Wedgewood stove is an example of just how interesting they are. The person who found this gem shared why it’s such a unique vintage piece. This stove is a hybrid model from the 1930s that uses natural gas and wood or coal.

The owner of this stove explained that back in the day, many people on the West Coast preferred wood or coal stoves over natural gas. Many people used their stoves to heat their homes, and natural gas wasn’t doing the trick. So, Wedgewood came out with this hybrid model. People could heat their homes with the wood-burning section and cook with the modern natural gas section. Talk about innovation!
