#7: Apollo 11 Flight Plans

This manual is chock full of history. It’s a real-life copy of the Apollo 11 flight plans. Apollo 11 is, of course, the NASA spaceflight that landed humans on the Moon for the first time. Who knows what these pages might hold? The person who shared this image was gifted this manual from their grandfather. 

Their grandfather was an NBC journalist who covered the Apollo 11 mission. We’re assuming he was given this manual as part of his coverage. It’s pretty cool to see the NASA logo and the official-looking cover, right? The manual is dated July 1, 1969, showing the amount of preparation that went into this mission. As we all know, astronaut Neil Armstrong set foot on the Moon on July 20, 1969.
