Sometimes you see an image that makes you feel all sorts of different things. Whether it invokes feelings of happiness, sadness, or even despair, it is important that we recognize which type of emotion it is that we’re feeling. But when the emotion isn’t necessarily a good one, it can make us no longer want to look at the image…

And this image tends to have that effect… This is an image of a demonstration of a baby wearing a gas mask in England in 1938. Considering that war was happening during this time, historically, this image is accurate. Thankfully, England never had to deal with chemical warfare in World War 2, so these makeshift gas masks were never needed.
