Stanley Green “The Human Billboard”, Oxford Street, 1977
Everything about the world is so different today that sometimes it can be hard to even comprehend what life was like before the big technological boom. People had very specific ways of receiving information, not like how it is today. Instead of going on your phone to search for something interesting, there were other ways of doing things.

Stanley Green was a true London character that managed to make his way into the hearts of many. Stanley would patrol London’s Oxford Street from 1968 to 1993 with his homemade billboard declaring that a lowe-protein diet aids in self-control and makes people kinder. It might not seem like much, but at the time, people didn’t have many ways of reciting information, and whether his preachings were factual or not, they were there.
