This poster for the Steeplechase from Coney Island in 1905 is very different from an advertisement we might see today. The use of bright colors and big letters is very depictive of the time and does an excellent job of drawing the reader’s attention. Even though this advertising style has become more popular recently, we’re not sure if this poster would work so well today.
