Three-time Oscar winner and celebrated actress Meryl Streep fell in love with sculptor Don Gummer in September of 1978, following the tragic passing of her boyfriend John Cazale. Six months later, the two were wed in her parents’ garden, and so began a love story that would span over four decades.
