John Denver and Cassandra Delaney’s fairytale began when Denver walked into a bar in Sydney after a long night out on the town with some friends. John was immediately infatuated by a young singer on stage. That beautiful and captivating woman was Delaney. Shortly after meeting, their passionate love story began.

Denver would eventually whisk Delaney away to Colorado, where they would be married on a mountain top with breathtaking views, in Aspen. Although it was all roses at the beginning, the marriage was rocky and quite toxic, resulting in an acrimonious divorce after only six years. The couple had one child, Jesse.
