Jeff Bridges and Susan Geston, 1977

Academy Award winner Jeff Bridges is one of the most iconic actors of the 1970s. Bridges once admitted there was a time in his life that he had a real fear of getting married. It wasn’t until 1975 when he met his future wife Susan Geston, who was hired as a maid for the film set of Rancho Deluxe when his fear of commitment completely dissipated.

Bridges still remembers the first time he noticed the North Dakota native. She was waiting tables to save money for college; he claims he was madly in love with Geston the moment he saw her. Bridges said he never looked back after that and married Geston in 1977. The long-lasting couple is still inseparable and enjoys sharing retirement with their children Isabelle, Jessica, and Hayley, and grandchildren.
