American actress Elizabeth Taylor has been married seven times and was the self-proclaimed “Queen of falling in love.” At some point in her career, her love life took center stage, and she was better known for her marriages and romantic endeavors rather than her acting skills. One of her most infamous marriages was to actor Richard Burton, whom she met on the set of Cleopatra in 1962.

The two actors were married between 1964 through 1974, before divorcing and remarrying in 1975 in an outdoor wedding ceremony that teased and confused fans and friends alike. But this particular marriage only lasted a year. Elizabeth Taylor admitted she was still in love with Burton when he died in 1984.
