Mike Tyson and Robin Givens, 1988

Boxing superstar Mike Tyson made quite a name for himself in the late eighties. He’s arguably one of the best boxers of all time. He was involved in a number of turbulent relationships, the most notable one being his marriage to actress Robin Givens. The couple tied the knot in 1988 and so began an anti-fairytale marriage, full of abuse allegations and infidelity accusations, when Tyson claimed he caught Givens cheating with none other than super hunk actor, Brad Pitt.

It was pretty clear from the beginning that this marriage was headed for the rocks. There was even a tell-all interview where Givens claimed that she and her mother were both intimidated and scared of Mike Tyson’s temper. The troubled marriage ended eleven months after it began. The legendary boxer is now married to his third wife, Lakiha Spicer, since 2009.
