When it comes to pre-made cake mix, everyone knows that Betty Crocker is the best in the business. Sure, there are other brands, such as Pillsbury and Westons, that definitely exist in steady competition, but the Betty Crocker name holds much more weight in the baking world. Whilst their cakes never miss, we can’t say the same about their advertisements…

We know that this advertisement was created a long time ago, judging by the look of it, but we still can’t believe something like this ever went to print. Domestic violence is never something to laugh about, and the fact that the household baking brand itself made a joke about it is rather shocking. We get it; it’s an eye-catching ad, but that isn’t a good enough excuse for this kind of advertisement.
