Layers of Meaning
Oprah’s mansion garden is home to 12 California live oak trees, representing local flora with their distinctive, sprawling branches. These trees, known as the Twelve Apostles, carry symbolic significance, embedding deeper narratives within the landscape.

Oprah repurposed the Twelve Oaks concept from ‘Gone With The Wind’ for her garden, preferring the term Twelve Apostles for her trees. She frequently shares glimpses of her Promised Land’s tranquil spots, where peace is infinitely abundant.
