Getting married into a family that has a predisposition towards you is never easy. Your spouse wants their family to like you, but they refuse to change their mind no matter what you do. Even if you’ve done nothing wrong or are seemingly flawless, some families are just stuck in their ways and their prejudice.

Being married to someone whose family speaks a different language can make things even more challenging when the family insists on disliking you. In trying to bring his family and spouse together over dinner, the family proceeded to speak poorly of his spouse in their native language during dinner. When family stoops so low, it’s no wonder they cut them out of their lives.
