#38: A Dirty Lie
It’s common courtesy to have an apartment professionally cleaned for a new renter before they move in. This landlord claimed it had all been taken care of, which was probably a load off for this person. They have a lot of other things to stress about arranging their move; the cleanliness of the apartment should not be one of them.

When they walked into the apartment and took off their shoes they had another thing coming. If the place had been professionally cleaned, it had either happened a long time ago, or the cleaner skipped the floors. Is it worth confronting the landlord about? Probably not. But keep an eye on this one; they might have another unpleasant surprise up their sleeve.
