#36: Lord Farquaad

We’ve never really considered the word landlord until this moment, just like we don’t consider many words we use on a daily basis. Spoon – what is that? But we digress. This Twitter user raises a good point – what’s up with the word “landlord”? It sounds so outdated, medieval, even. He’s the lord of the land?

Who made him a lord, anyway? He’s not my lord, I’ll tell you that much. We especially like the Shrek reference at the end – Lord Farquaad! Those two words are enough to put a smile on our faces. We like how people on Twitter are able to laugh at almost anything, even subjects that are usually touchy and frustrating.
