Ideally, you want your apartment to be more than just a temporary living space – you want it to be a homey, cozy place where you feel at home and you’re excited to return home to at the end of the day. Sometimes, that means decorating the place to your liking; painting the walls, hanging up photos and shelves, and making the place colorful.

The #ventyourrent Twitter thread went viral for a reason. People have a lot of grievances when it comes to landlords, and you can see why. Whether they’re playing it dumb or downright refuse to fix things around the apartment, dealing with a landlord is sometimes impossible.
