#3: Ban Flavour from Someone’s Life
Banning spices and oils from cooking? That’s essentially the same as prohibiting cooking, in our book. Every cooking starts with spices and oils – we aren’t great chefs, and even we know that. It’s a good thing this person got a lawyer to go over the contract; we can’t imagine anyone agreeing to this insane clause.

This also makes us super curious as to why this landlord would add such a weird clause in his rental agreement. Did he have a bad experience with a previous tenant who cooked a lot of smelly foods? Is he highly allergic to several spices and oils? Did he have a tragic spice accident in his youth? Whatever it is, nothing gives them the right to tell their tenants what to eat!
