#19: No Pets Allowed

It’s so sad that many landlords refuse to rent to tenants with pets. Sure, some pets may cause damage to property, but so do many people! Most pets, if they are trained (and even if they aren’t), won’t cause any damage to the apartment. If anything, having a pet in the house encourages people to clean more often.

However, people who’ve never had a pet don’t see it that way. This poster has an excellent point; having a pet means that you’re potentially a responsible, dependable person and would bring those qualities as a tenant. Of course, this doesn’t mean people without pets are the opposite, but having a pet should in no way be a disadvantage.
