#18: There’s A Time And Place for Everything
As a renter, it’s important to understand that there will be times when it’s unavoidable that the landlord will need access to your living space. For example, if they need to do maintenance on the building, even if it doesn’t directly affect your apartment, they may still need to access the area via your quarters.

Selling the property is another time when the landlord will need to access the space, and if the tenant’s schedule is less than ideal, that may create a few hurdles for the landlord. That being said, it’s never acceptable to access your tenant’s space unannounced while they are sleeping! And it’s even worse to bring strangers into that space.
