All families are complicated in their own way, but this family sounds like they have a lot of things to work out. We don’t condone keeping secrets from the people you love, but in this case, it’s a good thing this mother keeps this secret from her daughter. Can you imagine how she would react if she found out?

We’re not here to judge but to be completely honest, she sounds like a pretty lousy mom. What kind of mother betrays her daughter’s trust like that? And her boyfriend/husband is no better – what kind of boyfriend does something like that? We feel bad for this poor girl, it sounds like her entire life is a lie.
