#17: Nature Talks
This one isn’t quite a gut feeling, but it’s a hindbrain response to something terrifying. If you’re walking through any place that is usually busy with buzzing bugs and bird calls but is suddenly completely silent, that means it’s time to get out of there! There are some big predators out there!

I’ve had this happen when a baby bear was nearby. The thing is, the baby bear didn’t trigger the silence. Where there is a cute fluffy baby, there is a big mama not far behind. My husband made me slowly and calmly walk back to our shelter, and sure enough, once the baby passed, the mama strolled into view.
