No, I’m Buzz Lightyear!

Remember that scene in the original Toy Story where Buzz Lightyear realizes he’s a toy? It’s an existential moment where Buzz realizes there’s more than one version of himself out there. It’s funny how life can imitate art because the exact same thing happened to this storyteller’s toddler one Halloween. 

He dressed up as Buzz Lightyear one Halloween and was flabbergasted to learn that other kids could dress up as Buzz, too. It was beyond comprehension for his four-year-old mind. Instead of sitting with this new revelation, he went on the offensive and ended up in a wrestling match with the other Buzz Lightyear. Well, you live and you learn, kid.
