Trick-or-Goldfish?

This has to be one of the most unique trick-or-treat gifts we’ve ever heard of. Some guy in this storyteller’s neighborhood used to own a pet store. For Halloween, he would always give the kids a brand-new goldfish in a little water-filled bag. The kids who received this brand-new pet must have been thrilled.

The parents, on the other hand? Maybe not so much. We can’t imagine every single parent in the neighborhood was thrilled to be burdened with a new pet to take care of and pay for. Let’s be honest. Most kids love the theory of a new pet, but they hardly actually take care of them.
