#33: We Make the Rules

Is there anything worse than feeling like you can’t live your life the way you want? As a kid, you are more or less at the mercy of your parents and what they want for you, but there comes a certain point where you should be able to make some decisions for yourself without their judgment or intervention.

These parents clearly don’t care for their child’s well-being if this is how they are treating them in such a moment of need. To outline strict rules like this is a very intense and cruel thing to do to your child, who has little to no control in this kind of situation.
