#30: Positive Reinforcement
People often don’t realize that instead of lifting their loved ones up, they are often putting them down. Generally speaking, if you see someone display behavior that you want to see, it would make sense to encourage that behavior by positively reinforcing it. However, some parents don’t always think about that part when trying to teach their kids certain things.

When you realize that both success and failure can be punishable by your parents, then things start to get a little bit complicated. Why do people feel the need to talk negatively about certain behavior in someone in front of an entire room of people? More than anyone, parents know when something is difficult for their children. Instead of punishing them for trying something new, encourage it.
