#12: Huge Joe Montana Fan

Growing up in San Mateo, California, Brady idolized San Francisco 49ers quarterback Joe Montana. He watched Montana’s legendary Super Bowl performances and even attended the 1981 NFC Championship Game, where Montana threw The Catch to Dwight Clark.

Brady dreamed of playing for the 49ers, and when he entered the 2000 NFL Draft, he hoped San Francisco would select him. However, they passed on him, choosing Giovanni Carmazzi, a quarterback who never played a regular-season game.
