#9: The End of an Era
Imagine living through three centuries of human history. World Wars, the invention of the internet, the creation of new countries– the list of experiences is endless. Well, at least one person got to experience all that. Emma Morano, born November 29, 1899, was the last known living person born in the 1800s.

Emma passed away in 2017 at the staggering age of 117. She lived her life in Italy and broke plenty of records by living for over a century. She became the oldest Italian person ever in 2015 and was the oldest known living person in 2016. Emma said her secret to a long and healthy life was her diet of three eggs and the occasional chocolate sweet. Oh, and staying single.
