#53: A Wild Workplace
The General Motor’s assembly factory in Fremont, California, was one of the most notorious plants in the country. For whatever reason, this plant was known for its unruly employees. Everything from drinking to defective assembly went on there in the 1980s. It was so bad that some employees were known to screw with future car owners.

Rumor has it that some factory workers slipped empty glass bottles into the doors of unfinished cars. Then, when the car was complete and fresh off the lot, its new owners would hear an incessant clanging noise coming from inside one of their doors. That would be pretty hilarious if it wasn’t so annoying.
