#32: Screech!

In 1972, John Lennon, Chuck Berry, and Yoko Ono performed on “The Mike Douglas Show”. In classic Yoko Ono fashion, she threw her fellow performers for a loop. Right in the middle of the song, Yoko started screaming into the microphone. This screenshot is the real, exact moment when Chuck Berry heard Yoko singing into her mic.

The sound engineers working the show weren’t too impressed. After Yoko’s screeching debut, they muted her mic. As the song goes on, viewers can see Yoko singing, but she can’t be heard. Apparently, she ruined the vibe. At least we got this amazing, hilarious moment of Chuck Berry in shock with an absolutely chill John Lennon by his side.
