#9: The Lost Wallet

If you’ve ever lost your wallet, you know that sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach the moment you realize it’s gone. That’s what this storyteller had in mind when he found someone’s wallet on the beach. Knowing how stressful it is to lose something so valuable, he decided to be a good person and find the wallet’s owner. He couldn’t find any contact information in the wallet, so he hung around the beach for a bit in case the person came back. 

Waiting around for more than a few minutes is already going the extra mile, in our opinion, but our storyteller took his good deed one step further. When no one showed up looking for the wallet, he was kind enough to take it to the local police station! That’s when things took a turn. What he thought would be a quick drop-off to the police lost-and-found turned into an hour-long interrogation about the wallet! That’s what happens when you go above and beyond!
