A Life-Saving Party

Here is another wild story about how a simple act of kindness convinced someone to stay alive. Our storyteller and a group of his friends decided to throw a surprise birthday party for a new friend who had just moved to their neighborhood. They didn’t know the guy that well, but wanted to make him feel welcome.

This group of friends didn’t learn the whole story until much later. It turns out that this new friend had planned to take his own life later that weekend. The surprise party was part of the reason he decided not to go through with it. This story just goes to show that we never know what someone else is going through, so we should always strive to be kind.
