A Special Yearbook Message

There are a lot of people out there who have endured the worst from high school bullies. This guy’s story is a perfect example of why you should choose to be kind instead of malicious. This storyteller was a super popular, social guy in high school. He loved walking around the cafeteria to say hi to everyone, even if they weren’t close friends.

There was one guy in his class who didn’t have a lot of friends. Instead of shunning him, our storyteller made it a point to say hi to him, hang out for a bit, and even buy him lunch a few times. He didn’t realize how much his kindness meant until the end of the year. This guy wrote a really grateful message in his yearbook thanking him for being so nice. Our storyteller still thinks about that gracious message whenever they’re feeling down. Seems like they both ended up having a positive impact in the long run.
