#45: That’s Not What That Word Means

While I know a lot of people make fun of being “triggered,” it is a very legitimate reaction to some of the more serious issues in life. It in no way applies to French fries. French fries are indeed a Belgium invention, but Belgian fries just don’t have the same ring to them. 

I’m still baffled that there are entire internet arguments over this. Take a quick peek at Reddit, and you’ll see hundreds of back-and-forth posts about the origin of fries. At least we finally quit trying to call them Freedom Fries. That was the dumbest trend I’d ever seen.
