I feel like this post belongs in AITA, so she can see exactly how ridiculous her question is. You chose to have the gift made. I’m sorry your friend flaked out, but don’t be a Bridezilla! It’s not a good look for a bride. Besides, you can still give them the present, right? It doesn’t have to go in the trash.

Maybe my answer would be different if I knew why your friend didn’t show up. Did you have a falling out? Were they just an out-of-the-blue no-show? Did they have a medical emergency? It’s not like any of those questions or answers would change my response, but it would be nice to know!
