#16: Karens Know No Borders
I think it actually surprises people that English isn’t prevalent in other countries. I don’t even expect everyone in America to speak English, so it wouldn’t surprise me in the least to travel outside the country and encounter foreign languages. Hopefully, this airport employee didn’t understand what she was saying.

The airport in Shanghai, China, isn’t Walmart, ma’am, and there is no reason they’d require English to be spoken there. The better question is, why are you in China if you can’t speak Chinese? By your logic, that’s the expectation, right? I hope she felt terrible over it, though we all know she didn’t.
