#27: Keep on the Sunny Side

It’s easy to get so caught up in thinking about the way we wish things were that we forget to look at the way things actually are. And this can be true of bad times in our lives as well. Sometimes we get so caught up in focusing on the way things are falling short of what we wish they would be that we fail to notice that good things are happening too.

Because most of the time—though maybe not all—we will not be in a situation where every single thing in our life is terrible; there will be good things, too. If we focus on looking for the good things, we’ll be a lot happier.
