Delaware
Delaware, often referred to as the “First State,” finds itself in the last place when it comes to regular exercise. According to a Gallup poll, less than half of Delawareans manage to squeeze in the recommended 30 minutes of exercise three times a week. Interestingly, it takes just about an hour to drive from the northern tip of Delaware to the southern border, a relatively short distance.

This fact might make you wonder if many residents are aware of how long it would take to walk that same distance. In a state known for its manageable size, perhaps there’s room for more folks to explore the benefits of physical activity and embark on a journey toward a healthier, more active lifestyle.
